After a week finds the Aeon Core excellent across soul and jazz: tight dynamic bass, natural detailed vocals, smooth treble, solid imaging and very comfortable.

Uses the Aeon Core daily since release and really likes it, more balanced than the Noire X, though upper bass and lower mids are a bit cold.
Finds the Aeon Core probably one of the best closed backs they've heard and the least lean of the Aeon line.
Their Aeon Core is fine with no channel imbalance.
Traded in their HD 480 PRO for the Aeon Core and is enjoying it portably: weaker bass with little sub-bass rumble, but amazing clean mids and a slightly wider, taller stage; the HD 480 PRO was still more comfortable.
“Mids are amazing and primary reason why I jumped on it. There is no bleed from bass into mids and they are front and center without ever feeling shouty.”
Owns the Aeon Core and uses it for studio tracking: it resolves bass detail far better than the HD 480 PRO and beats their original Aeon Flow Open in design, build and sound, though it is heavier. Inoffensive even without EQ; their favourite closed-back.
“Besides that comparison, I also have the original MrSpeakers Aeon Flow Open to compare to, and the Core is better in almost every way (other than being heavier). The design, material, build, and sound are all superior.”
