With the DT 880 PRO they can tell exactly where enemies are, unlike the K702.
Really liked their DT 880 PRO until the cable broke.
Has the DT 880 PRO 250 ohm and loves it, though its flat sound is not for everyone.
Uses the DT 880 PRO 250 ohm with an amp and has not found a wireless headphone that is not a downgrade, even the Focal Bathys.
After a day, their DT 880 PRO is noticeably less sibilant than the AKG K702, contrary to its bright reputation.
Disappointed with how their DT 880 PRO sounds on a Schiit Asgard 3.
Would keep their DT 880 PRO 600 Ω, which has been great for everything they've done.
Owned the DT 880 PRO: bright, good mids and surprisingly open for a semi-open, rock-solid build and comfortable once broken in, but lacking bass even next to the HD 600.
“I like the DT 880, I have owned the Pro variant. It's bright, but it's unilaterally bright. The midrange is also quite good, and it's a decently "open" headphone despite what some might expect.”
Has used the DT 880 PRO for years: stock it sounds bright and thin, but EQed to the Hifi-Endgame target it's phenomenal, with clean punchy bass; distortion-free with power, comfortable, durable, with a great coiled cable.
“But tuned to one's favorite target (Hifi-Endgame probably being the best ATM), the sound is phenomenal. The driver can absolutely provide exceptionally clean and punchy bass that you could never imagine with factory tuning.”
