After over a month with the ATH-AD900X, finds it not bass-shy at all, with better bass than their M50, and a soundstage smaller than the AD700's.
Their ATH-AD900X sounds decent from an iPod, but an amp noticeably widens the soundstage and improves separation and texture.

Likes the sound of their ATH-AD900X, but the 3D wing headband has always given them trouble.
Owns both the ATH-AD900X and R70x and says the AD900X is not competitive at its price.
A month or two into the hobby, finds their ATH-AD900X pretty wonderful.
Finds their ATH-AD900X lacking in the low end.
Their ATH-AD900X failed early: the plastic started cracking and the non-detachable cable fell apart.
