Made the Zero:Red work brilliantly for them with a good dongle and some tweaking; not bloated or muddy, and nothing left they dislike.

Compared the Zero:Red side by side with the Hexa and Pure and found it noticeably more scooped and harsh than the Pure.

Prefers the Zero:Red most of the time over the similar Truthear Pure once the level is matched; its dual drivers need a bit more power.

Bought the Zero:Red as a cheap pair to carry around after Moondrop Kato and Myer Audio IEMs, and found them far too bright, to the point of a headache, and mushy rather than warm. Tried every tip and swapped the cable without improvement, and wonders whether the pair is faulty.

“My initial impression was that they were as good as gas station earphones. It was so so bright, to the point of giving me a headache. It also just felt so mushy”

Tried the Zero:Red but its nozzle was too thick for their ears.
